VPN is best solution. i am using from last 8 months & there is no problem. install VPN software & enjoy FB, Youtube & many others

Uh people for your information, facebook is not only for social whores. What an arrogant thing to say. Facebook is convenient because you can also LEAVE VIDEOS on it, which means, i can leave videos for my boyfriend when I miss him online. Skype allows you to video chat when BOTH people are online, but when you can’t go online for days at a time, if you are able to see and leave videos for your loved ones, how great is that! I know dads that created facebook accounts so they can keep in touch with their families and children abroad! I really really hope someone can tell us a way to get past it. My friend of mine came back from china a few weeks ago and he told me he was able to bypass the security, but i dont know how he did it. I know a lot of people that can get away with it, but i just dont know how.

Hi, I’m a school kid from Sweden. My whole family is Chinese, so I need to come to China every year. Last year when I came here I discovered that Facebook doesn’t work when we’re having summer holiday. My friend’s are sending tons of request’s that I can see on my Email. When I click on the link it doesn’t work. Can’t the government understand that they’re ruining people’s lives? Yeah, some people say “Take it like a man” or “Use MSN” but I’m not a man, I’m a boy. I’m a school boy. Soon a school boy without friends. Don’t you get it? You’re destroying the future! And the thing about MSN, I have MSN but you can’t play games (Not FB games, only booooring MSN games) , you can’t search for pages, and more!
“social whores”? Haven’t you experienced a really good friendship? I’m losing the contact with the most important person in my life! And who’s that? It’s my girlfriend. She could be my future. I’ve tried proxy servers and they don’t work. Now I’ve got enough. I want to do this clean and simple. I crave a change!
I hope that someone important see this so it could be a change. Please give it a chance!

To obtain a stable fast working way to get on Facebook is to use a VPN that you BOUGHT. Free ones are unreliable and crap. Basically you have to pay to get on Facebook. :/ and stop complaining if something doesn`t work…PAY FOR IT…the time you spent is probably already worth more than just paying for a VPN. I`m stuck here for 2 years and my paid one is fine. Downloading Free Crap, Proxies & Complaining won`t work. Jeez

i agree with “yama” i see a lot of people commenting on how FB isn’t everything and to “stop being little kids and suk it up” (p.s. it’s suck not suk). obviously it isn’t everything and i’m pretty sure that this is a facebook forum so… if you don’t want to help us “expats” or anyone else who just wants to check up on FB then why the hell are you even here? if you don’t have anything positive to contribute to helping us in our search to log in to a social network (for free without coming home to a huge phone bill) that most of us are accustomed to, don’t get on your soap box and preach about how FB isn’t everything. If social networks mean nothing to you then…why are you so bored you’re commenting on topics that “don’t matter to you”?

None of these methods work =/ And I see a lot of people commenting on how fb isn’t everything, and I agree. However, fb is extremely convenient to keep in contact with my friends abroad; I don’t want to come home to a huge phone bill (!!) Another issue is that I don’t have a lot of people’s msn because they don’t use it. If they did I would just spend my time on ebuddy.
China’s being so anal about the internet surfing. I can’t even do my work properly with “the Great Firewall of China” as Lakavivat put it.

i would just like to say that ppl have to suk it up and ttake it like a man.
ive been in china for about 3 weeks and i love facebook but u gotta live with it. its not the end of the world there r always other things to do so quit complaining. there is always many other things 2 do. i wouldnt wnt to give some examples bcuz ppl have diferent interest. u can alwys call them. it rlly isnt that hard to get ur phone and call them.if u dont no there phone number then u probably have other friends numbers that r in america that can access facebook and ask for ur other friends numbers. so rlly there r many other options. so in my opinion ppl should stop being little kids and whining . china probably has a reasonable explanation for it. if ur still not convince then y notget off ur butt and do somthing about it.
such as throw a protest or even mail the government. dont w8 for others 2 do it unless u wwant to w8 awhile

I don’t know if this is just a coincidence, after I tried opening Facebook the internet stopped working. I tried opening Sneakme thing, internet stopped working again! I am not an IT person and have no idea if Chinese government can control such thing but isn’t it freaky? And for those who say get on Yahoo or MSN Messenger instead probably have no idea what Facebook is… If you never heard the sound you never want to hear anything, if you never seen the light you never want to see it anyway, same thing. (I am from Japan, now visiting Guangzhou)
